Karl N’da Adopo: C’est comme ça que j’aime me reposer

The New Art Room linked up with Karl N’da Adopo in Toulouse for the opening presentation of his new piece, c’est comme ça que j’aime me reposer. It was an eventful weekend, and had the opportunity to learn more about him.

He is extremely creative, and you can see how his art connects to him. Touring Toulouse, I saw how his artistic vision has significantly impacted his city from an early age. It was a recurring theme throughout our stay, from designing logos for local shops to earlier framed pieces hanging in venues. Having so many notable landmarks in a city was quite remarkable for someone so young

Focusing on his creativity and the new direction he is embarking on with Sama, based on our visit to his studio, his pieces brought so much energy to everyone, energising our thoughts as they raised many different interpretations and talking points. This made me realise that this is a generational talent, as the topics he showcases in his pieces are relatable and understanding, with a high level of depth that may go unnoticed at first glance.

Meeting his team (family) was wonderful. They are a wide range of unique and talented individuals across many disciplines and are already successful. They are pushing for greatness only. Speaking to them individually, it is safe to say it’s a question of when, not if, as they are ready to get noticed on a global scale. Check them out at @multidi6plinaire.

Finally, I would like to thank Karl for this opportunity and for welcoming The New Art Room to his home. I can fully say Toulouse is on the map, and I have a family there now.
